Pumpkin Painting

 

This year we decided to paint our pumpkins instead of carving them.  They last longer and I think they look better too.

Arianna’s before picture and this is Bernie’s “before” picture.  He couldn’t wait and started before I took his picture.

 

 

I thought it was pretty clever that Arianna started using her foot to hold up her pumpkin to make sure she covered all angles of it.

Bernie, the little lefty, kept telling me he was an artist while painting his pumpkin.

And She's Six

Arianna had a wonderful birthday "week"!  She declared last Sunday, 4 days before her birthday, that this was her birthday week.  And she was not disappointed!  She kept receiving mail all week, was star student of the day at school, was surprised at school when I arrived with cupcakes to share, and another surprise with a weekend visit from Uncle Josh and Aunt Ashley. 

Arianna wanted a rainbow party and we sure did have one.  There were many kids from her class at the party and a huge water slide to entertain them.  It was an awesome time.  An absolutely gorgeous cake was made by some friends of ours.  Thank you everyone for helping us celebrate Arianna all week!
